Cuban Salsa
Salsa started out in Cuba, and this is the style we teach, both partner dancing and circle dancing. If you want to find out more, come to one of our free taster sessions.
Frequently Asked Questions
- I haven’t got a dance partner: no problem — we rotate often — by the end of the first dance, you’ll have met everyone!
- Don’t get thirsty: bring a bottle of water.
- What to wear: stay cool and comfortable! Cuba is all about effortless movement, so swap tight pencil skirts or restrictive shirts for outfits you can move around in. No fancy shoes needed—just clean, smooth soles that keep our lovely wooden floor happy.

Your teacher
Keith fell in love with Latin music and Latin dance when he spent a year travelling from Rio de Janeiro to Central America. He started training intensively in salsa almost three years ago, specialising in Cuban Salsa and Rueda – which is the Cuban version of circle dancing. He has received instensive training by Cuban and Latin American teachers for that authentic salsa experience, and by expert teachers in the UK and Europe. He can’t wait to bring Cuban vibe to Pocklington!
